My Life @ St. Thomas
College, Palai |
After completing
my PreDegree, I was not in a mood to go outside Kerala
for my higher studies in Engineering, though i secured
a satisfactory rank in the Entrance examination. So
i had to join for a degree course and my choice was
B.Sc Mathematics at St. Thomas College, Pala. The reason
for opting St. Thomas College, Pala was that two of
my relatives Fr. Mathew Kokkad & Mr. Augustine (Rtd.
HOD) were there as faculties at that time. I managed
to secure an admission there and my life then with my
friends were rather enjoyable. |
We had a very
nice time and could make our degree-days very much memorable.
I got managed in all activites in the college like election
works, sports and games especially cricket which I loved
a lot. Our batch was in all way familiar to the whole
college due to our ‘performance’ in the
campus. In spite of all our extracurricular activities
and pass times, all of us came out with high results
in our examinations. This made all the staff members,
both teaching and non-teaching very much impressed on
us. |
During our Final
Year in the campus, we had a vibrant idea of publishing
a magazine named “Campus Scholar 2000” totally
for the entire student community. We found success in
it and had a great response from the whole campus. This
event further elevated our image in the campus. I was
the chief editor of the magazine. There were also two
sub editors, Jince & Jubin. At this moment, I would
