| K. G. College, Pampady |
K.G College Pampady, located on a beauteous hill,
hardly 18 Km. from Kottayam. It was here that I
did my Pre degree, my teen years full of fantasies
and color. It was a new experience to step in to
the new world of expectations and thrill, longing
for setting a career goal and at the same time enjoying
the privileges offered by the college atmosphere.
Though I had an exciting and thrilling school life,
the college atmosphere was a great experience, totally
new and unknown.
The first difference was that I got myself out of
the ‘Uniform’ to a colorful world. The
life within the college quadrangle gained many things,
which I still admire and cherish I could never forget
events and functions like the college day celebrations,
Arts club inauguration etc... packed fully with fun
and joy. The college has contributed much to my
personality and I am highly indebted to the institution.
After my 10th I joined for PDC opting for first
group. Two years at K.G College gave me innumerable
experiences and many sweet memories to be cherished
through out my life. The misty mornings and busy
corridors are still there in my memory. I was an
active participant in the annual sports meet also
an all rounder in the college cricket team. Our
class was the college cricket champions for our
two-year term at K.G.College. But the reality that
they are no more mine; that the subtle class-room
jokes and all those sweet memories are now only
graveyards of the past and that I no longer own
them hurts me.
At this moment I express my deep sense of respect
and gratitude to all my teachers at K.G.college
who have skillfully contributed in educating and
enlightening me. I thank them all for their kind
efforts.
K.G.College is managed by the Malankara Orthodox
Church. The principal of our college at that time
was Mr. Titus Varkey. Life was really thrilling
and exciting then and I had a number of friends
many of whom I still contact occasionally. My dear
Friends, I am ever grateful to you for the warm
friendship that you offered me. Now this moment
I remember each one of you with love and gratitude.
