This Vishu, all the Mohanlal fans will have a splendid treat as the evergreen megastar appears in his new mission in the film Chotta Mumbai.
The plot runs around a part of Fort Kochi... There groups of young guys who lives here spending their time doing nothing fruitful and spending their money on unwanted things. Mohanlal plays the role of Vasco, the leader of such a group. Vasco's father, Pathrose Aashan (Sai Kumar), is a wrestler, wanted him to be a great winner and hence named his son as Vasco de Gama. But to his father's disappointment, Vasco turns out to be an irresponsible tramp.
Vasco, hangs around with his group members, Basheer (Jagathy Sreekumar), Tomychan (Indrajith), Chandrappam (Siddique), Sainu (Manikuttan) and Susheelan (Bijukuttan) live a carefree life, and earns money in dishonest ways, but still they are not pasteurized as hardcore criminals. There are also some important female charactors. Bhavna plays the female lead as Latha, as an autorikshaw driver.
The twist in the film ChottaMumbai takes a when something strange happens and changes the life of Vasco. The movie is directed by Anwar Rasheed. Anwar Rasheed is the director of Rajamanikyam starring Mammootty, which turned out to be a grand success. The script is by Benny P. Nayarambalam and the film is expected to hit the mega screen this Vishu.
